Tropical “storm” Colin provided some light rain during the 45 minutes at True Grit, which turned out to be welcome relief from the ensuing pain.  Ron Mexico and Huh hit a Ring of Fire prerun and joined the other 9 pax waiting in the parking lot just as the drops started to fall.  No FNGs present = no disclaimer and we were off.

WARMUPS

Good Morning x 10, SSH x 15, Mtn Climbers x 20, Double HR Merkins x 15 OYO

THANG

Partner up.  Partner 1 runs up hill to Sertoma parking lot and finds a cinder block waiting by the picnic tables, and does 10 cinder block burpees OYO.  Partner 2 knocks out merkins x 10, star jump x 10, runs a lap in base parking lot, and repeats cycle until Partner 1 returns.  Got about 5 cycles in I believe.  Flapjack.

Run over to the base of the hill by the bridge.  Partner 1 runs up trail to Sertoma parking lot back to the cinder blocks, and knocks out 15 cinder block burpees OYO.  Partner 2 sprints halfway across bridge, bear crawls the remainder, 10 HR Merkins OYO, repeat cycle going back across bridge, then AMRAP LBCs in cadence until Partner 1 returns.  Flapjack.

Once everyone is back at the base by the bridge, time to go back up the hill to the Sertoma parking lot, grab a cinder block and head over to far corner of lot for Four Corners Rack Em and Stack Em.  Partner 1:  runs four corners, at first corner do squat jumps x 5, increase by 5 reps and each corner

Partner 2: goes through following cycle with cinder block – Merkin Lock on the Block x 10 each arm, curls x 10, tri press x 10.  Repeat until Partner 1 returns.  Flapjack.

Time running out so unable to repeat, but did get in a long suicide set with backwards running on each return.

Back to base parking lot for Mary:  One Leg Reverse LBC x 10 each leg.

Romans 8:18 “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Rockmaster took us out with an inspiring word of prayer.
