Yes, the NCAA Championship is a ways behind us, but no one took the opportunity to really celebrate with the pax.  So with UNC shovel flag in hand, YHC led the way.

THE THANG

Flag run around the park with Tarheel flag being passed back and run to the front by last pax. Nothing like seeing my NC State brethren (e.g. Dink) carrying a UNC flag while listening to WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.  Good stuff.

Circle up on the field for:

SSH X 23 (The Goat), IW X 23, Good mornings X 7 (number of national championships UNC has), 20 burpees for number of trips to the Final Four.

Cinderella answered the trivia question about who the Heels beat in ’93 (Michigan) so we did it.

10 trips of 100 yards, 8 trips of 80, 6 of 60, 4 of 40, and 2 of 20.

In between we did Jack Webbs with WW2 and Freddy Mercuries; Jack Webbs with plank jacks and mtn climbers; bear crawls with hand-release merkins, Peter Parkers, and dry docks; burpee broad jumps, and inch worm merkins.

With the pax totally wiped out, unfortunately, we didn’t have time for Wanna Be a Baller…so we headed back to the lot for:

5 burpees (in honor of Ty Lawson, Ed Cota, Kendall Marshall, Marcus Paige, and most recently Tony Bradley).

4 burpees for Isaiah Hicks, 3 for Kennedy Meeks, and 2 for MVP Joel Berry.

Finished with protractor all around for too long.

Announcements – next week at Crucible will be the fitness test, convergence somewhere for Memorial Day.

Prayers – for Rain Man losing mother over the weekend and other family losses in the past year. Cinderella had a tree go through his roof…thankfully no one was hurt, but it’s gonna cost him.

YHC shared Romans 8:37-39
“in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Great reminder that in life we face all kinds of trials and we can’t face them on our own, but can know that God in His love gives us the strength to face these trials.  The pax in F3 are also a great blessing to me.  Thank you men!
