For the second edition of HiFidelity 2016, the PAX again experienced temps in the 20’s. That didn’t stop the magnificent 7 from posting this morning. #Tclaps to Odie, in his first ever F3 post. You chose a doozy of a day to be born in the gloom. Hills were the name of the game. Of the PAX go.
Jog down Horton to the entrance of the greenway.
Warm up:
- 15 Good mornings, 15 Imperial Walkers, 16 Wind Mills
- Jog most of the way up the Copperhead
The Thang:
- Pushing the cone: Set a cone (proper cone retain-ment measures taken. More on that later Denali) approximately 100 yds from the top. Run to the top and back to cone. Be mindful of speed up, and down. Try to maintain consistent pace. After reaching the cone, take the said cone 25 yards farther down the hill. Repeat the process till the PAX reach the bottom of the copperhead. YHC dispersed various mary exercises between ascents for a minor recovery moment.
- At this point YoYo took the reigns, due to nagging goofyness on YHC’s part.
- To the base of Horton Hill. Jog up 50 yards or so. Set cone. For this set, the PAX ran down then back up. Push the cone farther up the hill. Continue moving the cone, until the PAX reach the parking lot. (various Mary on display between descents.)

- Welcome Odie (Jon Davis) to F3 Nation. It is to be noted that Munson tried to name him Dieter Jr. Naming police won the day.
- Shared the words to a simple chorus that YHC has sung in church since entering the #bigball. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth, will grow strangely dim. In the light of His glory and grace.” Super simple song with powerful words. Allow the deity of Christ to shape Your mind, heart, and outlook of life.
- Sampler took us out mightily

- YHC remembers a Q last winter, where Denali led the PAX in “pushing the cone”. However, it became extremely dangerous when his cone seemed to vanish. Was it a PAX displaying mutinous intent? To my knowledge, the cone was never recovered. The idea was great, but execution questionable at best. Today’s cone was given a flashy appeal, and subsequently not lost. Here’s to a good workout by Denali. Shine on crazy diamond.
