‘Twas the morning before Christmas, when all through the land

not a creature was stirring, save this motley band.

They gathered in gloom, Shelley lake be the park,

Ready for a beat down that would arise from the dark.

The warm up was simple: side shuffles and merkins,

Good mornings, walkers, mountain climbers, and Chonger lurkin.

To the pull up bars we jog for a circuit of pain,

Duff wondering to himself, “What is it we’ll gain?”

A circuit of wonder, twice we ran through,

Listed, the following, is what we did do!

  • 10 pull ups
  • 20 Merkins
  • 30 Dips
  • 40 Prisoner Squats
  • 20 Burpees

With the last burpee completed, no more dips to be done,

We made like the Indians and went for a run!

Slogging through the wet fields we passed on the tires

Wishing we could warm our toes by the fire.

Instead we found our way to the rocks and the dam

So all could be shown up by our own sir Man Ram.

Curls, tris, squat press, overhead hold,

Followed by bear crawl sprints, we dared to be bold.

After two rounds of fun

Zima thought we were done,

But Utah the Fairy

Was gunning for MARY!

Russian hammers, heels to heaven were the gifts of this eve,

So lucky, us Pax, we couldn’t believe.

And so did it end, our COT

With a loud call to arms I did shout “TO COFFEE!”

Happy Holidays Everyone!
