A last minute Q request lead to a last minute workout plan. And the first thing that I thought of doing was an all Tabata session. Why? I don’t know why. I like the Tabata. Just like I liked the video above making fun of Crossfiters, but I don’t know why I included it in this Backblast, as it has nothing to do with the workout we did. It just happened. And click, click, click, here it is:

Cinderella took us out.

Mole
The Pax wondered where the music was. Apparently when others have done Tabatas they played music. Maybe next time.
• Fudd texted me at 5am looking for a kettlebell. I pointed him to Gnard, but Cinderella came to the rescue just before launch. There are usually 2 or 3 extra bells in the trunks of Gnard, Cindy, Villa or Mick’s vehicles. Otherwise, there’s always a rock down by the courts. So don’t let the lack of a kettlebell keep you from doing one of the better workouts in F3. The Blitz is always a solid kick in the teeth.
• Cinderella also pondered the emotions of my iPhone Tabata App, which turned red every time it was time to go again. He said it looked angry. And wondered aloud why it was so angry at us. I’m not sure we’ll ever know.
• There was plenty of other mumble today, as one advantage of a Tabata set is you don’t have to count. You just have to go all out during the 20 or 45 seconds that you are on. But that in itself limited much of the mumble, because you were pushing hard, and then the 10 or 15 seconds or rest was always to short. Good times.

Well gents, that’s all. Let’s do this again soon.
