12 PAX on hand this morning for ITBs most famous Wednesday workout. Several faces we haven’t seen in a while among the PAX, and we were glad to see them. No FNGs, so a short disclaimer and off we go into the muggy gloom.
Jog up Washington Street past Chong’s new yogi hut, left into the upper parking lot, thru the sprinklers and to the House-of-Cats. SSH, IW, Good Morning, Windmill.
Jack Webb. Not to be confused with merkin/arm raise 11s, which TARP and others seem to think are Jack Webbs. Jack Webb is 1 merkin, 1 arm raise. 2 merkin, 2 arm raise. Continue as long as you can handle it. This group went to 10.
Jog down the hill to the multi-purpose field of dirt with an occasional patch or grass. 4 sets of cones are set up approximately 10 yards apart. Suicide style: run to first cone, do 8 of called exercise, back to start for 2 of same exercise, run to second cone for 6 reps with 4 at the start, continuing thru to 8/2. For those keeping track at home, that’s 40 reps of the called exercise with some running throughout.
Exercises were: prisoner squats/merkin/4-count flutters/diamonds/WWII/wide grips/Freddie/dry docks/LBC/burpee (crowd pleaser)—-400 total reps. Lots of sweat and dirt on all participants.
2 minutes left for Mary: LBC and Heels to Heaven x 25 each
My Boy Blue took us out. Prayers for Flops daughter, family situations among the PAX, unspoken concerns.
-if it rains, the fields at Fletcher stay muddy for 3 days. If it doesn’t rain, it’s a dust bowl. #quagmire
-if you are in town Friday, go to North Hills (outside Chuys) at 5:30. Bring kids, lawn chairs and a cooler. At some point, My Boy Blue will sing to you. Later, Wendell Gee will sing to you. Q Tip will bang on his keyboard and Sweeper Boy will bang drums.
-Honor and a pleasure, as always.
