YHC had intentionally avoided North Hills Park to stay away from that hill, but taking a cue from Shaggy, YHC decided to step up and Q an unfamiliar AO. Arriving with a little less than 10 minutes to spare, the pax had already begun to gather. By the time the minute hand struck the appropriate hour, and with no FNG’s in site, no disclaimer was given, and we were off.
The Thang:
Jog to the back lot, one full loop around the island and circle up, Good Mornings, Windmills, SSH, and maybe one more. Warm up done, head down Sisyphus!
A few rounds of work at the base of the trail, Mericans & squats, head back up. If you get to the top before YHC do Burpee’s till YHC arives. Another COP, with some more Mericans and such, head back down. Noting one pax member continually out in front of YHC we stopped half way down for a little work, after restarting the downward trek, said pax member was on his way back up to find us, more on that later.
Find a rock at the bottom for 2 rounds of curls, and squat presses, send your rock home and head back up, stopping again in the middle for a little work. Back to an upwards jaunt, same as before Burpee’s if you finish before YHC.
COP, LBC pyramid to 30 and back, that sucked! Head to picnic shelter for L/R step, Ericans, & French dips, 2 rounds.
Head to the baseball field, BTW x 30, jog right field line to fence and back half way. Karaoke to opposite fence and back.
Mary in outfield, Rosalita, Hammers, & 6″ leg hold around the horn, DONE!

YHC reminded pax of the gospel as presented in Romans 10:9 “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Don’t make it too complicated, confess and believe and you WILL be saved! YHC also reminded pax that God wants men to step up, especially in our culture that is removing masculinity from everywhere it can. God doesn’t make mistakes he made men to be men. Step up with boys and let them know it’s okay to be strong and courageous, it’s what we were created to be! Not to beat a dead lion, but quit worrying about a dead animal and ask why we support an organization that sells murdered baby parts! Stand up or take the broad road down. Soap box rant done.

The Skin: YHC hates the hill but chose to venture up and down twice, only way to grow is to go, so we did. Always a treat to have 2.0’s in the mix, Mean Joe Green was at the front of the pack all morning. Speaking of the front of the pack, if you get too far in front of YHC, just know I’m going the other way as a matter of principal. If your too far ahead run a little more before you get to the AO, if you leave people behind, your missing the point of F3, start together, stay together, finish together. YHC kept a strong pace today without much rest, though not the fastest up the hill, there wasn’t a lot of waiting. Great work by some newer pax, great to have Steroid back in the mix. As always, it’s a pleasure to lead, there’s nothing like it. Thanks to those who continue to sharpen me, Aye!
