9 pax assembled at Rashkis under a cold Chapel Hill sky, still reeling from our beloved Tar Heel’s heartbreaking loss to the (still inferior) squad of transplanted Yankees a few miles to the North. YHC decided the only tonic for our existential pain was actual pain, so we set off to find a hill – one steep, muddy and mean enough to beat ourselves against until we were too exhausted to still feel the sting of watching reviled Devils celebrate on our home floor (NOTE: this was unsuccessful. The loss still sucks. A lot. But, a good beatdown ensued, which helped take the mind off, at least for a time).

Indian Run to the Conference Center, jog to the top of BFH East (a steep, muddy piece of grassy magnificence on the edge of the parking lot).

Jacobs Ladder: run to the bottom for 1 merkin, run back to the top for 9 burpees. Repeato (2/8, 3/7, etc until 9 merkins/1 burpee). WWIIs once done until all pax complete.

Over to the curb for 20x cadence mini-dips.

Loop ‘o Pain: Run down the side of the hill, around to the base, bear crawl up, complete 10x cadence mini-dips. Repeato, counting down (9x cadence, 8x, etc until 1x). WWIIs once done until all pax complete.

Fellowship jog back to Rashkis interrupted by Coco’s request for more pain. Bear crawl down the long Conference Center driveway, momentarily interrupted by narrowly avoiding vehicular homicide.

Complete jog back to Rashkis, circle up for dealer’s choice Mary. Russian Hammer, WWII, LBC, Champ’s Yoga Peter Parker’s, etc.
