So YHC recently got sucked into this Netflix series called Stranger Things. And I just finished binge watching season 1, which premiered this summer. The show, set in 1983 Indiana, is written and directed by the Duffer Brothers, 32 year old twins who grew up in Durham, NC. The sets, the writing, the story, all amazing. And if you grew up in the ’80s, like YHC, then all the little pop culture references will transport you back in time. Oh, and it may scare the shit out of you, too. More on this later.

Great groups abound in F3 Raleigh. Everywhere I go (and I get around) there are regulars. Strong subsets of the larger F3 Raleigh big ball. Which in itself is a subset of the even larger F3 Nation big ball. And each group is passionate about their site, their Qs, and their things. There is no point to this other than I like it. I like it a lot.
Speaking of sub-groups, Flush was conducting his usually splinter group up in the garage today. Just him and an FNG. And Larry David. LD had an early morning “my brain’s not quite functioning” senior moment, and arrived for the 0600 workout. He realized the error of his ways, and jumped in with Flush and friend. The rest of us were getting schooled somewhere down Oxford. LD merged in gracefully for Thang 2.
So, that’s all I got. Oh, and there was also no point to leading off with the Stranger Things story, other than it’s what I wanted to say, and you should go watch it if you haven’t already.
Thanks for recruiting me Chippy. You should of been there. It was fun. I look forward to seeing you Q True Grit one day soon. #strangerthings
