PAX of 8 at the ready. Shaggy rolls in still rocking the breakfast. I hope that whatever it was doesn’t make a re-appearance during the morning’s festivities. This is Tahoe. Land of the Hills to the North. Let’s keep them over our left shoulder.
There’s always a bit of nervousness, when the opportunity comes to Q a new AO. Would the plan be worthy of a merlot (or breakfast) spill? Or would it be….meh? PAX of 9. Lets roll.
The Thang:
Jog up Six Forks to Northbrook. Hang a left, and head to North Hills drive. 20 LBCs while the PAX gather.
Down the drive to the greenway. Mosey to the base of Sisyphus. Yep. Sisyphus that hill which hones even the sharpest of speedsters.
Run up Sisyphus. When the PAX get to the top, AMRAP 10 merkins and 20 LBCs. After all have arrived, mosey back to the base. Repeat 2 more times.
Mosey through the park to Currituck. Give it a good strong run all the way to Lassiter Mill.
AMRAP 10 wide grip merkins and 10 box cutters till all PAX arrive.
Jog around Tar-jet’ to REI. 30 prisoner squats in cadence.
Jog down both ramps, and then back to Lassiter/Currituck. Grab curb bros

COT
- Joshua 1:9 ” Be strong and courageous…for the Lord your God will be with you always”
- YHC recalls watching Disney’s mini series “Davy Crockett” when I was kid. The series was good ole Walt’s way of trying to inject the vision of classic manhood into the heart and minds of boys. Fess Parker (Crockett) is teaching his son to hunt on his own, and relays a quote that has stuck in my mind for over 30 years. “Find the largest tree in the forest, and keep that over your right shoulder. You’ll never get lost.” First, keep the image of the cross and the beauty of the gospel over your shoulder. Your life will be well guided. Keep your family over your shoulder, and you will remain well grounded. Surround yourself with brothers (and sisters) that breathe life into your purpose. When you look back (and ahead), you will be farther along than yesterday. Thanks to you brothers this morning and everyday for sharpening YHC at every turn.
- Prayers for Tuck’s tendons, and the weekend trip with the 2.0 sans nemo-mobile.
- Praises for the tumor, removed from my M on Monday, being benign.
- BullHorn took us out.

- No merlot or breakfast spilled. However the 3rd trip up Sisyphus left the PAX mesmerized. Tuck expressed that the 5th time was really tough #moonstruck.
- Great work by all today. Sunshine, BullHorn, and Ron Mexico were all work and no mumble. Pepe, YoYo, and Sampler took the Larry Bird trophy. As for the rest, too much cheese to talk about.
- Thanks Pepe, for loaning the keys to Tahoe. YHC tried to leave a little gas in the tank. Oil’s a little dirty though.
- Aye!
