The folks in Raleighwood were teased with the seductive temps of Spring earlier this week, but the nip of Winter reared its head this morning. First time at Ricochet, first time Qing Ricochet. I have to say, the format is great. Run out, beatdown, run back. This is what we did today…
Run down Aycock, cross Glenwood to Williamson. Right on St Mary’s, left on Fairview, left on Oberlin, stop in the courtyard at White Memorial. ~1.9 miles
Very brief stretch of good Mornings/Imperial Walkers
Mosey to the staircase under breezeway. 5 squat jumps, up and over stairs-10 squat jumps. So on and so forth up to 30. #burner
Circle up around the brick ledge for a couple rounds of:
-Incline Merkin X 15
-L/R step up X 15
-Dip X 15
Mosey to the curb
1 burpee-broad jump across street
2 burpees-broad jump across street
3 burpees-bear crawl across street
4 burpees-bear crawl across street
5 burpees-crab walk across street
6 burpees-crab walk across street
Hark! Kettlebells. A 40 & a 25. Indian Run back to Roanoke passing KBs down the line & sprinting them up to the front. Took the pax down Harvey to Glenwood & stopped for 30 Flutters. Continued our quest back to Roanoke Park just in time for COT. Mule, Saturday. Epoxy Challenge is in full effect, not necessarily a good thing but you will get a pair of sweatpants with a mustard/chili stain upon completion. Solid work by all today. Covered close to 4 miles with some solid pain in between.
Ricochet has a great format. It’s different from the tempo workouts in that you actually get a group run in, which gives the pax time for some 2nd F during the workout. If you haven’t been I encourage you to post there on Thursdays. Tclaps to Myrtle and TARP for leading it.
Lastly, sign up to Q. Nudge your fellow pax along. If you notice a guy not posting regularly, reach out and ask him to join you. ISI.
