What a perfect morning for a Pipe Dream beat down. I’ve been wanting to do this type of workout for a while, and took a few iterations of equipment failure to finally get things right. For this mornings workout we were assisted by two 8 foot long – 6″ diameter PVC pipes full of water. Some quick math puts the weight right about 105lbs each.
Warm up with a quick jog around the track, then circle up
- SSH x 25
- Imperial Walkers x20
- Good Mornings x10
- Mountain Climbers x20
- Merkins x 10×3
Split up into teams of 3 (1 team of 2) for a total of 4 teams
- Team 1 & 2 – each take a pipe, shoulder it up, and take a lap around the track
- Team 3 & 4 – Four Station work out x 2
- Station 1->2 – Bear Crawl – 5 burpees
- Station 2->3 – Crab Walk – 5 burpees
- Station 3->4 – Peter Parker Crawl – 5 burpees
Finish w/ a small lap around the parking lot. Repeat. Pipe Teams finish with curls until the other teams are done….then switch. We did that rotation 2x.From there we went onto a Super 14 set of Merkins & WWII
- 1 Merkin, 1 WWII
- 2 Merkin, 2 WWII…etc..
Audible was called at 10 due to time. Finish w/ a Plank Count to 10 around the horn. And we are done.
Moleskin: This workout was fun (but this group has a warped sense of fun!) and I think provided a fairly good beatdown. It was nice to have some different equipment to workout with.
