As usual, YHC was running short on original ideas for the workout this morning, so I fell back on my old ways and repeated one of my favorites. Known by several names, today we’ll just call it the Agoge 500.

Warmup:
SSH x 15
Imperial Walkers x 15
Windmills x 10

Mosey a little over 1/2 mile to the Court of North Carolina on NCSU campus, with a couple planking and squat hold stops to gather the PAX. Once we arrive at the Court of NC, the Agoge 500 is explained (10 exercises, 5 sets of each exercise, 10 reps/set) and we get to it. The 10 exercises today are

Standard Merkins
Sumo Squats
Wide-grip Merkins
LBCs
Diamond Merkins
Freddie Mercurys
Star Jumps
WWII Situps
The Nippler
Burpees

The jumps over the brick wall and the climbs up the stairs definitely got a bit slower as we progressed and the temps/humidity began to rise. Strong work by all PAX, especially by our FNGs/2.x!
Mosey the 1/2 mile back to Pullen with a plank stop or two to gather the PAX.

Mary:
Only time for 6″ leg-hold with 6 count around the circle.

COT:
YHC thanked the PAX for prayers for my daughter. Friday morning we had some prayers answered and I wanted to give thanks. Always know that God is there working in our lives, even when we don’t see it or think things are going the way we want them too. Keep praying, keep being thankful, know that you are not alone!

Announcements:
Spartan Sprint at Ft. Bragg (Sept 19th)
Triangle GORUCK is coming (Oct 17th), start wearing those rucks whenever you get a chance. It’s not too late to sign up, a couple more signed up this weekend. I think we’re over 80 now!
