As YHC pulled into the gloom of Pullen this morning, no plan or “Weinke” to speak of, I noticed the clown car crew and several more Pax were waiting on the Q. With a light disclaimer and and a quick decision, we were off.
The Thang:
Indian run the parking lot an to the upper parking lot past the pool to find a little light for warm-up: SSHx15, Good Mornings x15, Imperial Walkers x15, Windmills x15
Back to the gloom, we headed towards the tennis courts. But as YHC realized the lack of lighting there, we bypassed the courts for a quick jaunt to the top deck at NCSU. Under the fluorescent glow the pax of 12 split into 2 groups in preporation for laps around the deck.
Group 1 would divide the lap into 4 sections; high knees down the straightaway, karaoke on the short side, sprint the back stretch, backwards jog back to the start while group 2 did max reps of standard merkins OYO, then flapjack
Lap 2: Group 1 backwards run the first leg, bear crawl the short side, karaoke the back stretch, sprint to the start, while group 2 does prisoner squats, then flipflap
Lap 3: Group 1 karaoke the first stretch, sprint the short leg, backwards run the back stretch, sprint to the start, while group 2 does BOYO, filp flop.
Time to mosey back to Pullen to the rock pile for a little weight training: grab a rock too heavy for just one hand and circle up, curls x10, presses x10, extensions x10, repeto increasing the reps to 12 this time.
Drop your rock and jog across the bridge and down to the pond, lunge walk across both bridges and find a spot on the stairs: quick feet X15, mini dips X15, erkins x15, repeto.
Jog back towards the stone circle, make a quick lap around the carousel and head to the stage: alternating L/R high knee step ups x15, dips x15.
Circle up in the grass for a few minutes of mary: LBC’s x15, Rosalita’s x15, 6″ leg hold for a 3 count around the Pax, done.

Moleskin: Though YHC couldn’t recall the specified location in the best-selling book of all times, but was reminded by a faithful Pax via Twitter. Q reminded the Pax that in Proverbs 27:17 “as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another” we can not only relate this to our mornings of pain in the gloom, we can and should relate this to work, family, and friends. Be an intentional encouragement to those in need and not only strengthen one another but experience the fellowship Christ intended for His people with each other and with Him.
And added by Q because he has the platform to do so, the Gospel is this: John 3:16 “God so loved the world” (aka you and I and the rest of us upright walking mouth breathers) “that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” and here is an important part you don’t want to miss, in verse 17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” As we sharpen each other and share this good news with the world, we are fulfilling the intention God has for us, that we might make disciples for Him and be saved. If you don’t know Him personally, ask one of your F3 brothers who does, they would be glad to introduce you to the King.
