There was no point in switching up the regular routine at True Grit in YHC’s Maiden Q. The name of the workout speaks for itself -simple, raw, tough, and enduring. Running, Body weight repetitions, and active recovery -no bells, no whistles. YHC set a swift pace for the PAX who stuck right with me.
Jog to Upper Soccer Field for Warm Up.
Warm Up:
SSH x 20
Good Mornings x 15
Sir Fazio Arm Circles x 15 -forward and reverse
Imperial Walkers x 20
Windmills x 15
Mountain Climbers x 20
Std Merkin x 20
The Thang:
Quick pace jog around Shelley Lake stopping approximately every 1/4 mile to perform the following exercises (one type per stop):
Burpees x 25
Carolina Dry Docks x 25
Sumo Squat Jumps x 25
Peter Parker x 25
Squat holds and planks till all PAX arrived between each run to perform the next exercise.
Stop on bridge for People’s Chair and Balls to Wall.
Hit the hill to the upper Parking Lot as hard as you can go.
Line up for ‘1/2 and 1/2’s’: Perform one exercise to mid line of parking lot, another exercise from mid line to end, 15 merkins, and sprint back.
Bear Crawl/Karoake
Side Plank Crawl/High Knees
Gorilla Crawl/Butt Kickers
Sprint down and back before circling up for Mary.
