On this dim and murky morning with high humidity, Pax of 8 arrived with general welcomes but low levels of mumble chatter. We were off.
With the mist over the lake, we mosied to the dale for warm-up: SSH, mtn climber, and windmill while facing the hill in anticipation.
First up, Jacob’s ladder up to 7 burpees at top of Hill and 7 LBCs in the dale with each lap. LBC’s till all pax finished. Katniss on a roll and killed the pax with good solid lap.
Mosey to the Shelter for some Mary with lots of high counts, sumo squats on the way

Mosey to rock pile; again lots of high counts. The pax were given prenote about what was to come. Still they did not listen and Ollie caved in rock defeat while Coney was on the verge.
- Curls
- Tricep extensions
- Wood choppers
- And some more curls
Mosey to the shelter for some more Mary
- Elevated homer to marge
- Heels to heaven
- Cross leg over lifts; right then left
Augmented Beast
- Round 1: Run with merkins at each stop
- Round 2: Low squat shuffle with diamond merkins each stop.
- Due to time, audible called and pax missed the wide grip merkins, Hindu merkins, CDD, and maktar jive
Mary
Mosey to the softest pile of grass in Cary through the woods for more Mary, 40 count WWII [Callahan’s choice]. Stop on the way for sumo squats. In the gloom, the roots and rocks were difficult to see and Cee-Lo decided to go for the diving burpee in route. #Tclaps to Burt for picking up the six. And with Callahan’s toes pointed, Mary was done.
COT:
- Announcements: Ollie needs 6 more for BRR team, 2nd F at Pharmacy downtown Cary NEXT Thursday, prepare for stair climb 9/11, Dunphy will be the guest Q at BO next Thursday before he departs for Roanoke.
- Prayers to YHC’s cousin dying of cancer who would make a fine F3 man. YHC took Prayer.
YHC has been thinking a lot about change recently. And with Callahan’s recent job change and YHC’s nephew Splash in F3NOLA shouting out about change, YHC challenged the pax to think about change, what it means and our part in it, how we must face it and learn from it, how it can educate us and how we can harness it. Each pax is encouraged to get out of their comfort zone and try something new, try new ideas, meet new people, new food, try new activities. Whatever it is, move forward. #DRP Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
