Four F3 PAX Regulars started “The Arena” with only One Healing Transitions FNG; a man name Kenny…a F3 HT regular later joined up with us. Turns out I believe this singular HT FNG turnout was Providential.
Warmups were:

The Main:
- Pick and Rock and Circle up…HT Fry Daddy joined up with us at this time
- Bicep Curls x 20
- Military Press x 20
- Tricep Extensions x 20
- Bear Crawl a good way toward RR Tracks, then sprint back
- Repeat the above x 15
- Gorilla a shorter way, then sprint back
- Repeat x 12
- Crab a shorter distance, then sprint back
- Repeat x 10
- Drop Rock and Run back to HT inner fountain/circle

COT:
- One FNG. Welcome Kenny….now known by his F3 Brothers as “Persevere”
- Prayer Requests for Pork Chop Sandwich; lady in one of the small eastern NC towns which was flooded,,,she is ready to quit living as she lost ALL her worldly possesions; and Kenny
MOLESKIN:
YHC arrived at Healing Transition to find all HT F3ers having assigned job duties going on and unable to post. In recruiting efforts YHC came across two HT non-F3ers and started recruiting them. Not two sentences in, one of these HTers told me the other was “wanting to die….right now”. He asked YHC to talk with him and left. This guy had been at HT a week, having come up from New Orleans with his wife; both coming to Raleigh for the purpose of enrolling at the guy/gal respective Healing Transition campuses…..his name was Kenny. Kenny’s wife told him this past week she was leaving him. Kenny told YHC he wanted to quit it all….and kill himself; he started crying. Duff and Pork Chop Sandwich showed up about this time. YHC told them what Kenny just told me. I told Kenny of a valley Duff walked through….told Kenny of the valley Pork Chop is now walking….told Kenny the valley I walked, and that we relate to where he is. CW arrived and told Kenny of his valley walk. We all then told Kenny “lets go”…and we left that spot and started our Arena journey that many outsiders would view as a simple workout time. Don’t think it was this day to Kenny…or us.
When it came time to name Kenny we named him “Persevere”; then we all talked to him….not as outside HT men, but as guys who while just having met him, Loved him, and now considered him one of us.
CW took us out well. We shook Persevere’s hand and told him we would see him again. We all hope we do. Please Pray for Persevere.
Friday’s are tough to break away mid afternoon and post at The Arena….it is I know a sacrifice to do this. I encourage you to post when you can make this sacrifice….there are men there hurting who your presence will mean more than I expect any of us can imagine.
