The PAX assembled for another glorious Monday morning and was welcomed by cooler temperatures. It was a determined group, but in light of a smaller turnout, YHC decided to bring along some tires to keep everyone company. And the PAX took good care of these welcome additions to the Thicket coupon arsenal.

The Thang
Grab the tires and head up the hill and then down the long road to Pollard.

Benches: Step-ups, while two do overhead tire presses. Repeat and rotate until everyone has done the tires.

Wall: Wall sits, while four do tire dips. Repeat and rotate until everyone has done the wall sits.

Stairs: Two hold tires straight overhead, while everyone else runs the stairs. Repeat until everyone has held the tires twice.

Ramp: Bear crawl to the top.

Grass: Gym class situps, followed by tire irkin circle. Then back to another round of the situps, followed by a tire derkin circle.

Return with the tires back up the long hill — but stop at the pull-up bars.

Pull-ups: Max out first set. Do one less on second set. Do one less than second set on third set. Do one less than third set on fourth set. Finish with one long, slow negative.

A note of thanks for hitting the two-month mark for The Thicket. No matter the turnout — be it 2, 6 or 26 — thankful to have this site, and this group, every Monday.

YHC sent out a memo the night before noting that weight vests were optional for the day’s workout. Turns out everyone except YHC declined the option. Next time: mandatory.
