It was that kind of morning. YHC nearly fartsacked from not setting the alarm, turned the wrong way out of the neighborhood, and forgot gloves, so I was eager to let my frustration out. Pax of 5 braved the cold for a study on the root of the name “Jack”.

Warm-up:

Indian run for 3 laps

SSH x 20

Pendulum Swings x 10

Cotton Pickers x 15

Tricep/shoulder stretches (approx 20 secs each)

 

The Thang:

Figure 8s in the parking lot with stations as follows:

Middle of the 8: Hop Scotch (one legged hops over the parking lot stripe side-to-side and front-to-back for each leg) x 10

First quadrant: Jack Merkins x 10

Second quadrant: Squat Jacks x 10

Return to the middle for Hop Scotch

Third Quadrant: Plank Jacks

Fourth Quadrant: Star Jacks

Return to the middle

Rinse and Repeat for a total of 4 laps

 

Next up, was the Beast:

Sprint across parking lot to predetermined stations to complete an exercise with 3 reps/6 reps/9 reps and return in descending fashion.

First move was Spielberg’s beloved Monkey Humpers

Hold plank for the 6 followed by a 10 count

Second was Standard Merkins

Hold Al Gore for the 6
