16 pax gathered on time for what was yet to be determined as the daily work by YHC, and at some point before we finished a 17th (Bull Horn) found us to finish everything out. YHC is not a regular at this AO but enjoys stepping out of his comfort zone from time to time, this was one of those days. Having heard the tales of O’well’s Monday corn bag carry at Zero Hour and seeing Scurvy show up for his 2nd post anyways, YHC would try to give the newbie a little more than #Everythingbutthesqueal was able to dish out Monday.
The Thang:
Quick and sloppy disclaimer followed by a jog up to the upper lot for a warm-up COP. The usual, GM’s, SFAC’s, IW’s, PJ’s, and a few more. Count off and remember if you’re odd or even.
Continue the Washington street loop at a fellowship pace to Raleigh Charter HS lot. Odd’s one way even’s the other around the building, find a partner at the other side for 10 hi-5 Merkins, continue back to the start for 5 Burpee’s OYO. We repeated this 3 times.
Jog to the south lot for some quick feet, bear crawls, and some more alternating lot runs to Glenwood and Washington st. and flip flop. Circle up on south side of building for a set of 11’s WWII’s and Flutter’s. The mumble chatter was strong enough at this point that YHC got up ran a loop around the building then finished the work.
Mosey back over to the park to the base of the hill below the house of cats for a set of 7’s, Burpee’s at the top & Merkins at the bottom.
Circle up one last time for a set of Jack Webb’s, 1:4 ratio to 10 & 40. The work got hard and the mumble chatter got loud, though a good amount of it was from pax half-assing the work. This was a tough set to finish and tough noise from pax to ignore, but yhc did.
Finish off the days work with Have A Nice Day, think about how you can honor God by serving your family. Done
Name-o-rama and announcments. YHC called out those who just ride the wave kicked up by others, that if you’re not leading at F3, where else are you not leading? Step up and step out!
Bull Horn took us out.
The Skin:
YHC thought it was a hard post, and was pleasantly surprised to find out the Triple would be running through Heavy Metal the next morning. Upon the end of the work at HM, Epoxy remarked at how he wished he had known how the first 2 legs of the Triple would shake out this week. A reminder form the Big Guy that many times when we step into what we think may be the usual suck, we find ourselves working through what ends up being not as sucky as we thought it may be. Enjoyed the camaraderie of the day especially those complaining and critiquing towards the end. Hope to see the 7 or so eligible at FC in the morning, I know there is at least one burrito ceremony that could take place.
As always it was a pleasure to lead.
CW Out!
