Ever have one of those days where you feel you’re just going through the motions? We all have. Today was not one of those days, at least not at 3:30 this afternoon. Dufresne was ready and focused, like his F3 namesake, Andy Dufresne from Shawshank Redemption. Just like Andy focused on making it to Zihuatanejo, Mexico by digging a tunnel from his prison cell over 20 years, Dufresne has his eye on bearing weight on his legs by the end of February.
Leg Presses – Left and Right Legs, sets of 10 x 2
Leg Lifts – Left and Right Legs, sets of 10 x 2
Leg Rolls – Left and Right Legs, sets of 10 x 2
Leg Holds – Left and Right Legs, sets of 10 x 2
Core Sit Ups – 10 count x 9 (Third week in a row Dufresne has broken his own record)
Elbow/Bicep Squeezes – Left and Right Arms, sets of 20 x 3 (20 more than last week)
Diamond Arm Push – sets of 20 x 3 (20 more than last week)
Prayers for continued strength and determination for Dufresne. Sleep has been hard to come by lately, roughly three hours at a time. Prayers for rest to accompany the great effort Dufresne is putting forth during our workouts. Tremendous prayer by Friar Tuck anchored by Psalm 121.
Psalm 121 – A song of ascents
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
T-claps to Dufresne for continuing to bring it! Each week he’s busting through what he did the week before! T-claps to Friar Tuck for his first post to #HopeBuilder today. YHC is humbled by the response of those signing up to workout with Dufresne and equally amazed by the progress Dufresne has shown over the last three weeks.Thank you brothers!
