24 pax emerged from the gloom for some hill work at Martin MS. Once again, we were one Au Pair short of a new record attendance. A few Kotters, and many strong runners. Many #brr hopefuls have made Tuesday morning a regular this Summer. Enough of the chatter and gathering, no real disclaimer, and we were off for the Thang.
Mosey down Horton Hill, and left on the Greenway to the base of Copperhead. Circle up for a warm-up
20 x SSH, Good Mornings, Mountain Climbers, Windmills
First set – 20 minutes of repeats on the Copperhead Hill – 0.2 miles and 8% grade. Most got in 5 or 6 repeats
Gather at the center of the bridge over I-440 for some Core work
LBC, High/low slow flutter, plank, left hand high, plank, right hand high
Mosey to the other side of the bridge
Second set – 20 minutes of repeats on the Art Museum Hill – 0.2 miles and 6% grade. Most got in 5 ascents.
Mosey back to the base of Horton Hill. One last sprint to the parking lot
All-in-all it was 6.3 miles and roughly 1,000 ft of ascent. Well done.
