F3 Raleigh – let’s run it back.

Last year’s first ever Virtual 10K event was a *great success* (Borat voice), so it’s time lace up your running shoes and do it again. Similar to last year, you will be randomly placed on a team with a team captain. Teams will be comprised of runners of all speeds, and you will have the next five weeks to virtually train with your team. Your team captain will create a Strava group with your team name, so you can follow each other’s results and hold teammates accountable.

Then on Sunday August 22nd, between 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, you will individually complete your 10K on a route of your choice. Your route must be 6.2 miles long and start and end in the same place. The activity will be recorded in Strava and go towards your team’s collective time. The results will be tallied. We will create an overall leaderboard, and a team champion will be crowned based on the team average of each runner’s time.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Add yourself to the master spreadsheet (here)
  2. If you’re not already on Strava, get signed up
  3. Request access to the F3 Raleigh “Club” on Strava
  4. Start training! You’ll be assigned to a team within the next two weeks

That’s it! Thanks to Les Nessman for laying the groundwork for this event to be successful last year and in future years. We all look forward to this year’s VOYO10K being just as engaging and challenging as last year’s.
