Drenched from the time the car door was open, almost all PAX headed to Bastille to be with Lo Pair. YHC stayed back to capture any that could not make the journey. Today is Bricks last day in Churham and we wanted to send him off right. He has been with the group a year and is a complete stud. He is off to the Queen City and they are very lucky to get him.
Run in the rain to the tennis courts for warm up.
SSH x 25
BAC x 10
Reverse x 10
Merkins x 20
WMH x 10
Squats x 10
For a very brief break, we ran to the covered benches for double sets of dips x 15 and urkins x 10
The Thang:
line up on tennis courts. Run to end of first court, merkins x 5, run back for plank. run to first court, merkins x 5, run back, run to second court, dry docks x 5, run back for plank. This continues to build each court and we added MCs, jump lunges, high knees, and of course burpees. Brick dominated as usual.
Fortunately we had a few minutes left so we walking lunged to the first, 5 merkins, continued to the second, 5 dry docks, etc until the end and a spring back. This was followed by more sets of dips and urkins.
Mary consisted of a Pilates 100, LBC x 15, WWII(Brick’s choice), and Russian hammers(Shovel’s choice).
Even on a nasty day like today, it was a pleasure to lead this group. It is powerful to have the courage and strength that we get from each other to do this when most won’t or can’t. Our thoughts are with our friend LP. Enjoy the QC Brick.
