For some inexplicable reason, Engelbert Humperdinck popped into my head yesterday. Go ahead and say it out loud. Fun, amirite? Say it again. Anyway, “bert” turned into “burp”, “dinck” into “dip” and before you know it, the FingerBurp HumperDip was born. Read on and you’ll see what it entailed.
It was a dark and cold morning but 14 – no wait, 15 – PAX came out to worship at the Temple of Ma Bell – or maybe only because it was the closest AO. Whatever, it’s 0545, let’s run around the pickle 1½ times to the basketball court for some:
Warm-Up
- 20 x Mountain Climbers IC….Hold it
- 15 x Plank Jacks IC…Hold it
- 10 x Standard Merkins IC (PAX knew it was coming, just not when. Ma Bell likes to keep things interesting. Kind of like when Ma Bell talks about Ma Bell in the 3rd person)
- 10 x Good Mornings IC
- 10 x Sir Fazio Arm Circles Forward and Reverse IC
- 10 x Box Jumps OYO
The Thang
Let’s head to the bottom of the pickle for an explanation of the FingerBurp HumperDip. Start at the bottom with 10 Burpees, followed by a trip around the pickle for stops at 1/4 for 10 x Fingertip Merkins, at the top for 20 Monkey Humpers, at the shelter for 30 Dips and back to the bottom.
Repeato 9x with descending number of Burpees but keeping the same number of Fingertip Merkins, Monkey Humpers, and Dips.
Plank-o-rama at the bottom when the circuit is completed until the entire PAX arrives, then circle up for:
