It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The tension between love for swinging kettle bells in the gloom, the oppression of 45 hellish minutes swinging kettle bells. A site record of 26 PAX emerged to get better this morning despite the threat of a rain soaked gloom. There was little rain, plenty of pain, here’s what we did.

Down to the field for warm-ups. Good Mornins x15, Imperial Walkers x20, Figure 8s x20

The Thang:

Line up along the fence line of the track for the Dirty MacDeuce. Three exercises, 12 reps each, 4 sets completed. In cadence…

1. KB Swings, Shoulder Press, American Hammers (with bell). After the second set, 100m dash and back. After the fourth set, 400m dash around the track. YHC forgot how much Hammers with the bell still engages the shoulders. Difficulty lifting arms ensued quickly.

2. Squat to high pull, Bent over row, Flutter kicks (holding bell). Same as first time around. 100m dash after 2nd set, 400m after 4th.

Up the steps to the wall. Line up shoulder to shoulder and hold people’s chair while we passed Mick’s monster 50lb bell down and back. 5 burpees OYO. Repeat the bell passing.

Mary: 20 BellBC’s (LBC with bell for those who couldn’t figure that out), 6 inch leg hold with bell overhead. 8 count around, which changed midway to a 5 count (ya know, cause we had 26 PAX).

COT:

Well done by all this morning. Great to see some familiar faces and new ones. Au Pair’s presence increased mumble chatter as always. T-claps to Mick and Friar for swinging midnight kettle bells and still attending at 5:30. Additional t-claps who showed up already drenched in sweat from running over to The Blitz with his kettle bell. I’d say that counts as EC.

-Get signed up for the Komen Race ASAP. Talk to Fazio or Maize. Juggernaut 1 year Anniversary this Friday with YHC and Grady co-Q. Coffeeteria afterwards for this into that sort of thing. Baileywick, 5:45. Bob Vila is looking for someone to step up as Blitz site-Q so he can give his car’s suspension a break (see Vila if interested).

-Prayers for Cherry Berry’s employee’s family (Rachel) after the loss of mother. Prayers for F3 Hansel.

Cherry Berry took us out.
