YHC was a guest Q for Gettin in the Runs this morning.

The EC:  You’d have to ask Stretch, he started running around 0500 at the pace of a cheetah, I suspect, and crushed it.

The warm up:  stretches and mumbles

The Thang:

PAX went for a Bataan Death March (last man drops for 5 burpees then sprints to the front) from Faith Community Church to White Deer Park (the part on the opposite side of the Pine Shelter).

Once we all arrived the name of the game changed to partner Doracides. (Suicides from the back of the parking lot to the crosswalk, then back, then to the last light pole, then back.)

Partner A started the runs while partner B started the exercises.  Exercises were cumulative and partners built on each other’s counts to reach the numbers.

  • 100 – Body Shakers
  • 200 – standard merkins
  • 300 – flutter kicks
  • 400 – mountain climbers

“Water break for the exhausted Q”

From here it was back to the flag.  Partner A started the run, Partner B did 10 jumping lunges then sprinted to catch A then roles were reversed.

With some time to spare PAX circled up for some Mary.

20 WWII, 15 WWI, 10 WWII, 5 WWI.

Bananas and hammocks:  Q called out Banana (superman), Hammock (dead cockroach), Left, or Right (this should be self explanatory) in random and sometimes rapid succession

COT: Family and friends in personal struggles, families and friends impacted by the recent storms, leadership at all levels from our community to our nation.
