With beautiful weather, a chill in the air and the glow of a full moon (not an exercise), a Pax of 5 arrived ready to push each other and get better. Despite the call of spring break for many, this Pax of 5 set out to work hard and get ready to show off their hard work when the real spring break kicks in.
Warm Up
Out of respect to the nearby neighbors, the Pax ran down to the end of the parking lot to warm up. No FNGs today, just seasoned F3ers, so no need to give the legal disclaimers. We circled up for a round of Side Straddle Hops x20, Arm Circles x 20, Merkins x 20, a good stretch that is too difficult to describe compliments of Box Jump and then 5 Burpees, OYO. With that, we headed out to do a little run by the street lights (despite the glow of the moon) as we headed to Hyde Hill. As we made our way up Yadkin, stop at each street light for Merkins x10. BTW, there are a lot of street lights from the park to Hyde Hill!
The Work: Hyde Hill Hysterics:
The Pax took on the challenge to run to the top of Hyde Hill to perform Squats and run back to the bottom for Merkins. A 4 set of 10, 20, 30, 40 of each. Then, Bear crawl to the top and sprint to the bottom for more Merkins. Low Plank Hold around the circle count of 10 x each Pax. Then, sprint to the top and back down for 5 burpees. Time for a little Indian Run back to the park. Oh yea, at each street light, whoever is in front called the work and cadence. We enjoyed LBCs, Burpees, Squats and Diamond Merkins.
Mary:
A strong non-stop of Mary this morning as we pushed ourselves with LBCs, Box Cutters, Homer to Mars and American Hammer. Good Work guys!!
COT:
Great work by a dedicated group of guys. We stayed together as we all pushed to get better. We all agreed that F3 is about more than the fitness. It is a blessing for the brotherhood to share life together, pray together and encourage each other as we encounter the challenges and blessings of life. Thank you to F3 brothers for your encouragement.
