Im not sure why but I always under estimate the amount of time it takes to get from my home to Carroll but no matter how early I leave I feel I am one of the last to arrive. As YHC arrived at Carroll Wednesday morning he was greeted by a quickly expanding circle of Pax all with large metal objects at their feet. Something about the Blitz has left it as a marker on my calendar weekly. A midweek beatdown always makes it seem as if the rest of the week is a downhill slide. Well not quite a slide but you can feel the excitement of the harder part of a week accomplished as you step into the gloom. Today was no different as 22 Pax took the red pill and came out to sweat. As always with YHC I appreciated the unique opportunity to lead.
Warmup: Mosey down to the grass next to the track and the basketball court.
15 times Good Mornings, 20 times SSH, 20 times Figure Eights
The Thang:
Set of Elevens: Diamond Merkins at the top of stairs next to school. Double Count swings at the bottom of stairs.
Mosey over to track and partner up with someone with like bell. One partner goes over to the opposite corner of the track the other stays at the entrance. Each group will do the same exercise on the opposite corners. Once Group A makes it to the opposite corner Group B jogs to where Group A are. Once Group B arrives at Group A, I call out an exercise and Group A goes to the entrance to the track where Group B had just left. When they arrive Group B follows. So one group is always running and one is always doing an exercise called by the Q. Here are the exercises we completed.
1. Double Arm Swing 2. Goblet Squat 3. Squat to High Pull 4. Bent Over Row 5. Curls 6. Single Arm Snatch 7. Tricep Extensions 8. Chest Press
Mary:
Mosey back to the parking lot for 25 times Hammers with bells and 25 times Roselita

Moleskin:
The L had me a bit worried. I honestly didnt expect numbers like we got and didnt know how it would work. Like all other circuit like workouts once it got going it ran pretty smooth. Thanks to all being patient as I tried to articulate best what the L actually was. One of those things that is harder to explain than you think. Especially with a foggy post F3 Fantasy Draft brain I had.
Note to self don’t plan on using the field. The sprinklers have been going full force recently. Not something to bank on being a part of the workout.
As always it was an honor to lead,
Pepe
