A lively, if not rambunctious, CARPEx PAX of 26 gathered at A-team this morning to celebrate Hotspot and Michelob’s 2-year F3 anniversary. Other factors at play this morning were the return to standard time, cooler temps, a broken 108-year curse, and another Wolfpack almost-win. Bartman’s “Monday as hell” observation during COT seemed appropriate.
Welcome Sony from Charlotte, FNG Water Wings, and A-team first-timer McDonald. Also welcome back Coldstone from North Raleigh who EHed Hotspot and Michelob back in November 2014, and pulled the classic move of not showing up for their first workout, although made up for it by posting at A-team the following week and a couple more times since then.
Warmup
The gates into ACP were locked, so fellowship jog to the normal parking area and circle up for:
- SSH
- Mountain Climbers
- Cotton Pickers
- Imperial Walkers
The Thang 1
- Partner Up –
- Pax 1 – Select a rock and run the parking loop with a Rock held overhead
- Pax 2 chips away at the below reps
- 75 Burpees
- 200 Prisoner Squats
- 300 American Hammers
- until Pax 1 returns from the loop, passes off the rock and flapjack until all of the above are complete
- Dual lane Indian Run twice around the loop to the shelter
- Rearrange the tables into two parallel lines (Not the ones with no benches)
- RE-Rearrange the tables because they were to close to the structure poles (oops)
- Deep Merkin Gauntlet – Line of Planks, sideways Plank Crawl around the tables until you’re at the mouth
- Alternate bear crawl and deep merkin through the gauntlet of Picnic tables (Some Pax squeezed in some extra Merkins)
- While we waited for the 6 to finish, Elbow to knee Planks and 9 Plank Sit throughs
- Jog up to the front parking lot, Circle up for Mary
- 9 Badgers (Chillcut mountain climber)
- 20 Freddy Mercuries, leading right into a few sets of boat/canoe
