Nine PAX convened in the gloom at TBL to get this beautiful brisk Saturday morning off to a good start.

Warm up
Run a lap around the soccer field then circle up for various warm-ups, each with awkward counts by the green QIC.

Thang
World Series of Pain 1: Mozy to corner of soccer field (home base). Sprint down the sideline to the corner at other end (first base) for 20 merkins oyo, bear crawl along the baseline of the field to the 2nd-base corner for 10 burpees oyo, sprint along the sideline to the 3rd-base corner for 30 deep air squats oyo, bear crawl along the final baseline back to home base, then hold in plank position until all PAX make it back to home base.

Merciless 10-count by Nails

World Series of Pain 2: Repeat World Series of Pain 1 except this time substitute deep traveling lunges for the bear crawl.

Merciless 10-count by Nails

Mozy to the baseline for Usain Bolts. Runner calls the exercise before sprinting to the end of the field and back. The rising sun and mist on the field made runners resemble an actor in a Nike commercial. Various exercises named and completed.

Merciless 10-count by Nails

Travel to rock pile to pick up decent-sized rock (or in the case of Chef Tell, a small boulder).

World Series of Pain 3: Repeat World Series of Pain 1 except this time complete all exercises on/with rock and replace bear crawls with high-knee runs with rocks held above head. (At this point the QIC regretted not repeating the safety disclaimer at the beginning of the workout.)

Final merciless 10-count by Nails

Optional rock adjustment while others plank. You’re welcome, Chef Tell.

World Series of Pain 4: Same as World Series of Pain 3 to the sound of improvisational grunting by the Pax.

Return rocks to their homes.

Mozy to center for Mary superbly Q’d by Nails which concluded with Bonus Burpees in honor of those starting the F3 Go Ruck event tonight.

COT
The pax really pushed this morning. I am humbled to take up the Q mantle while some of our more seasoned brethren took a needed day of rest in anticipation of a night of Go Rucking.

Please remember Chef Tell’s family member recovering from surgery and for the safety of the men participating in the Go Ruck event this weekend.

Ending prayer acknowledged the beauty of the morning, requested healing mercy for those who are sick or recovering from surgery and safety for men doing Go Ruck Event, and offered our thanks for making us better men, dads, sons, brothers, colleagues, and friends.
