NASCAR Pileup

19 men got their Thursdays off to a great start at The Judge.  This is what we did.

The Thang:

Fast mosey (longish route) to the Crumpled Hanky Track (or what I learned was half of the Blue Loop — short track around the Dojo) for the inaugural running of the Lee 500.  At start/finish line, execute:

  • 20 Peter Parker Push Ups (#oof)
  • 20 Baryshnikovs (10 each leg…#godawful)
  • 20 Makhtar N’Diayes (#worsethananticipated)
  • 20 flutters (double count…so 20 each leg — #sweetrelief)
  • 20 x-fit/hand-release burpees (#meltdown)

After completing the 100 reps, run loop around the track (running counterclockwise).  Complete AMRAP until 6:12.  Goal was to get at least 5 rounds in (hence, Lee 500).

Run short route back to the parking lot.

Naked Moleskin:

Truly #sucktastic in the Gloom this morning.  I was tired after Round 2 — and it didn’t get any easier.  I think I was running about a 9:30 (19:30?) mile pace on the last lap.  The Raleigh Pax took it like a man this morning though — no complaints, no whining, just gutting it out until the end.  Think everybody got in 4 rounds total with a handful making it to the full Lee 500.  Our longer entry to the Dojo track — and our initial lap around it before starting — prevented any 600s this morning, but we can correct that next time.  Not much #mumblechatter during the Lee 500 (oxygen deprivation will do that to you) but plenty of mock calls for YHC’s banishment from Raleigh (I think they were mock calls).  Think the #terrible guarantee was delivered…

Thanks for the keys, Denali.  Always a privilege to lead … and it was a special honor to lead The Judge this morning.
