A PAX of 22 showed up for some low key circuit work at True Grit following the BRR and Stair Climb weekend. Except YHC read the back blasts from the previous weeks and found that Chippendale had done something very similar two weeks earlier when he graciously filled in for YHC. Hmmm, what to do, what to do….run up a hill over and over again….sure, why not.
The Thang:
Circle up
SSH X 25, Good Mornings X 15, Sir Fazio Arm Circles X 10 forward and back
Run under the bridge to the bottom of the old Shelly Road hill. YHC always messes up the count! PAX counts off as best they can for the coming exercises….
Starting with YHC, then 1, 2 and so on will call out an exercise, run the quarter mile up to the light at the top of the hill, stopping at each side street to do the exercise (reps of 5, 10 then 15), once done at top run back to bridge. NMLB Style, plank or squat hold at bottom while waiting for PAX to gather.
Round 1: Burpees 5, 10, 15….squat hold
Round 2: Diamond Merkins 5, 10, 15….plank hold
Round 3: LBCs 5, 10, 15….squat hold
Round 4: Hand Release Merkins 5, 10, 15….plank hold
Round 5: Squats 5, 10, 15…..Derkins X 10 on rail
Round 6: Star Jumps at the First Road X 15
There may have been another round in there but YHC can’t remember.
Mosey back to the Parking Lot….and wait for the slow……car…… to…… pull….. around the circle. Burpees X 10 OYO while we wait just because.
COT with prayer for the PAX and those in need.
Moleskin: T-Claps to Chippendale for the late substitution before BRR, it was much appreciated.
I talked to my 2.0 and 2.1 and we decided we should try to start each day off right….so when I wake them up in the morning we say our quote of the week or month or longer…we’ll see how it works out. They decided we should start with “It’s a beautiful day the Lord has made and I am happy to be in it!” I find I say it with more enthusiasm when I am coming back from the gloom. Thanks to the PAX for the push and support.
Long Live the Cheese!
