A big group of 37 PAX showed up at 0545 on a mild Monday morning for their weekly Fetzer beatdown. A good time was certainly had by all. The Tar Heel football team began its annual off-season Blue Dawn conditioning regimen at Navy Field next door and several PAX were seen slipping away to take part in the easier Blue Dawn session.
The Thang:
Kim Jung Still led the warmup (windmills, SSH, burpees, merkins) and then and Walt took half the group on a campus tour.
Half stadium run and the PAX runs up to “The Boulevard of Broken Dreams” which is a long corridor coined by Walt because of the pain that is inflicted.
Bear Crawl the length of Boulevard (approx 100 yards) stopping at each column for 5 merkins. At least 15 columns.
Run to the Quad and the steps above the flag pole. Bows to Toes for 1 minute, 20 IC Super Fast Mtn. Climbers. Grab some stair for 20 Derkins.
Run to the Old Well for some travelling Merkins. Circle up around the Old Well travelling Merkins to the right X10, back to left X10, rinse and repeat.
Run to the Wilson Library. 15 IC Dips followed by Half PAX plank while others do 15 Box Jumps then switch. Rinse and Repeat.
Run to the wall. Half PAX line up for Balls to the Wall while other half 20 single count dips then switch. Rinse and Repeat.
Run back to the Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Bear Crawl the length but this time stop at every other column for 5 Carolina Dry Docks.

Meanwhile, Shooter ran a Circle of Pain with the rest of the group—30 seconds of work 15 of rest and transition between stations of one-armed rows, curls (2x), merkins (standard, diamond, wide grip), side raises, deep swimmer’s presses, renegade rows, low-plank holds, LBCs, Freddie Mercuries, kettlebell swings and goblet squats.
Capped off by Six Minutes of Mary: Lo-Plank Holds, Parker Peters, 30 seconds on, 15 rest, times three, followed by 30 seconds of LBC, Heels to Heavens and Freddie Mercuries.
