Anticipating a “July vacation” number of Pax, I was pleasantly surprised at the 26 PAX ready to stroll through Dawn Patrol. The number was even more encouraging with the presence of 2 FNGs. Welcome Seventeen and Hope Sollo. We started with a scenic stroll down the greenway to the field for a little warm up.
Side Straddle Hops X 25
Good Mornings X 12
Imperial Walkers X 12
Merkins X 12
Makhtar N’Diaye X 10 starting on right arm, X 10 on left arm
Burpees X 10 OYO
Continued the mosey down the greenway until we found a comfortable location on the gravel road for some planks. Rt arm up! Lt arm up! and Shaggy helped with a 10 count for the low plank hold.
The PAX divided into 2 groups for a 1/2 mile Indian run. Not a race as we finished together at the base of the parking deck.
After hearing a few comments about the lack of nature and scenery we proceeded to get closer to the blacktop. 26 Pax lined up along one side of the road for Ascending Curb Derkins. Peach Pit may have been a little aggressive with the call to go to 24.
Ascending Curb Derkins: 2 derkins on one curb followed by a bear crawl to the other side of the road for 4 derkins. Repeat until 24 derkins are completed. Audible was called somewhere between 10 and 14 derkins.
In effort to find the best view of nature for Shaggy, we proceeded up 5 flights of stairs to the top of the parking deck. After partnering up, partner 1 utilized both set of stairs to circle the deck while partner 2 did LBCs or squats. Each pair completed atleast 4 laps up and down the parking deck and 100 LBC & 100 sumo squats.
After the half mile mosey back to the greenway we hit 10 Travoltas with each arm before completing the Railroad Plank Jump back up the greenway.
Thanks to Clavin for calling the Mary: 25 LBCs to complete the post.
COT: 26 PAX and not much to say. We did have 2 FNGs. Peach Pit’s Brother in Law is a huge soccer fan and walked away with the name Hope Solo while Tiger Beat’s cousin could not help but to be associated with the teenage magazine craze and assumed the name Seventeen. We finished with a quick chat about making a change on the fly and always looking ahead. Nunc Coapi is a Latin phrase for “Now I Begin”. No matter if it was a huge success or disappointing defeat, it is behind you. Now I Begin! Overdraft took us out.
