It all started with YHC waiting for my clown car to arrive but, alas, it never did. Figuring it would be bad form to arrive late when one is the Q, I ran back inside, got my keys, hopped in BFT, and broke all kinds of traffic laws to arrive at Danger Zone with 3 min to spare. And half of that was taken dropping off some props we would need later on the basketball courts and running over and through a sea of trash to meet the PAX. There they were eagerly anticipating what Ma Bell was going to dial up. Well, here’s what happened.

Since my legs were still sore from Billy’s stair and hill festival on Wednesday and Ollie’s parking-deck-a-palooza on Thursday, YHC decided we needed to stretch em out a bit. So we descended into the dark bowels of North Cary Park for the 1/4 mile loop below the sand volleyball courts. Down at the bottom of the loop, we paired up for a little chase. P1 starts running. At the top of the loop, stop and do 10 star jumps. Meanwhile, P2 does 10 starjumps at the bottom then takes off for the top. Damn, Burt, watch where you’re shining that light! When P2 arrives, P1 continues around the loop back down to the bottom and does 10 more star jumps. Meanwhile P2 does 10 starjumps at the top and chases his partner to the bottom. Flip-flop and do it again with P2 running ahead and P1 chasing. That’s two trips around the loop and 40 star jumps. Repeato except this time 14 merkins at each point. That’s 2 more trips and 56 more merkins. I thnk we’re up to 126 merkins now. Anyway, follow me back to the top (with one stop along the way for 14 more merkins) to the basketball court.

Bear Crawl to midcourt and back. Do 10 Jumping Spiders
Crab Walk to end line of first court and back. Do 20 scorpion merkins
Duck Walk to end line of next court and back. Do 30 monkey humpers
Gorilla Crawl to midcourt of next court and back. Do 40 Dying Cockroaches
Frog Hop the length of 2 courts to far end line and back. Do 50 Seal Jacks.
Plank it out for a few minutes of plank-o-rama then circle up. No, boys, we ain’t done. Time for Mary
