6 pax arrived early at Ball Bearings for a little bit of extra credit in the form of a 5k run – up to the Capital and back. A good pace was set by Yo-yo, and we all did our best to keep pace. T-claps to Floppy Disk for stepping outside of his comfort zone and “enjoying” the run. When we returned to the AO, another 9 pax emerged from their cars, and we began a less than pleasant workout on a Wednesday morning. Total of 15 for the fun that was to be had…
The thang:
- 1/4 mile warm-up jog to the Mellow Mushroom, including 2 stops for 10 burpees OYO
- Warm-up circle including Good Mornings, Mountain Climbers, King David Kicks, and Sir Nigel Fazio Arm Circles (both ways)
- Ran a block down the hill of Peace Street to the railway trestle and began a Jacob’s Ladder up to 7 burpees at the Glenwood intersection
- Moseyed a block back up Peace Street to the Boylan Ave intersection for a set of 11’s – squats at the top and ‘Mericans at the bottom of the hill.
- Recover on the 1/2 mi jog back to the Stone Circle (parenthetical – YHC intended to stop 3 times for 10 burpees OYO, but was too spent to consider this)
- Circle up for 6 minutes of Mary – LBC, One-leg Homer-to-Marge, Hammers, Rosalita, Dolly, 6 inch leg hold 5-count around the circle
That was all we could muster. Had a pull-up set on the plan, but ran out of time (and energy).
It was a pleasure watching Yo-yo kill the hills as the rest of us continued to suffer. Tough set for all.
T-claps to Chum Bucket for posting 5 out his first 6 days (missing Sunday – rest). YHC witnessed him pushing hard at Zero Hour, HiFi, and BallBearings this week.
