Advertised as a three-hour-tour of the North Carolina Museum of Art grounds, a stout 47 answered the bell to kick 2016 off the right way.

Warm Up:

  • Mosey to Open Space adjacent to amphitheater

The Thang:

Round One: White Shoe

  • Mosey to parking lot between new and old museum buildings
  • Burpees x10, sprint to other side of parking lot, Burpees x10 for all 4 lanes in the lot
  • Repeato
  • Flutter Kicks until everyone participates (it took a while)

Round Two: Friar Tuck

  • Mosey to the small pond near the center of the NCMA grounds for a lesson on time management
    • 1:00    – 10 Standard ‘Mericans
    • 2:00    – 20 Burpees
    • 3:00    – 30 Squat Jumps
    • 4:00    – 40 Plank Jacks
    • 5:00    – 50 Mountain Climbers
    • 6:00    – 60 LBCs
    • 7:00    – 70 Nipplers
    • 8:00    – 80 Knee ups
    • 9:00    – 90 Calf raises
    • 10:00  – 100 Standard ‘Mericans
    • 11:00  – 110 ‘Merican Hammers (f/k/a Russian Hammers, Mason Twist, etc…)
    • 12:00  – 120 Sumo Squats

Round Three: Chong Li

  • Corn Cob Half-Pipe
    • Partner up at the map detailing the NCMA grounds.  Run from that location to the top of the adjacent hill, each partner perform 10 Partner Derkins.  Run back to the starting point (oddly, also an uphill climb) and each partner perform 8 Partner Squats (as it turns out, size did matter).
      • Repeato with 20 Derkins and 16 Partner Squats (get it? 20-16)

Mary:

  • Quick mosey back to the launch point:
    • 20 burpees
    • 16 Flutter kicks

Fin.

NMM:

  • Offers to run through an additional two rounds of this set list were uniformly declined.
  • Good to see a few FNGs out there.  Stick with it, it gets better.
  • 360+ at the 5-year anniversary convergence in CLT.  #Problematic
