With several Qs followed by a business trip, YHC is just going to get this brief BB up so we capture all those who got up early (we’re the only Raleigh site that went at 0545) on Memorial Day to put in the work.  No FNGs, but disclaimer given including that we would not leave any man behind.

Warm-up

Jog towards the corner of Lynn and Lead Mine, circle up for:

  • Good mornings x 15
  • Merkins x 20
  • Imperial Walkers x 15

The Thang

We ran down Lynn Road past North Hills Road, then took the entrance ramp down to the greenway (Shelley Lake extension, I believe it’s called Bent Creek Trail in that section); ran back up the greenway past part of Shelley Lake, and then took the ramp up into the LakePark neighborhood before returning to Williams Park.

Along the way, we stopped a number of times to do other exercises and keep the group together (also did one of the uphill sections as an indian run).  The exercises included:

  • derkins and ukins along a guard rail
  • sumo jump squats
  • LBCs
  • merkins
  • WWII sit-ups
  • plank with variations

Mary

  • Indian run around track and gather at the picnic tables for  …

  • Prayer Requests:

For all our brave men and women who have protected our country, especially remembering on this Memorial Day those who sacrificed our lives (and praying for their families).  Protect who those continue to serve.

Great work today getting in some miles, men!  Thank you for the opportunity to lead.
