I love the Judge. Great site, unique format, earlier start time – it’s got it all. I started F3 just under a year ago (July 2014) and went to my first Judge about a 3 weeks later. I had no idea about a pre-blast, partners, or that you ran non-stop. I just heard from Au Pair at Urban Jungle the day before that it would “kick my a$$”, so I gave it a try.
A version of myself that was 15 to 20 pounds heavier than I am today walked out there, got paired up with Man Ram, and got put through the ringer. I don’t think I stopped breathing heavy until lunch that day. Au Pair was right…..It was great and that Thursday site has been heavy in my rotation ever since.
So when I was surfing the web over the weekend and saw that tomorrow’s workout didn’t have a Q, I decided it was finally time. And what better way to Q my first Judge than to somewhat mimic my first Judge ever from back in August 2014. I say mimic, because I can’t remember exactly what we did, as I almost blacked out.
THE THANG
After quick warm-up, partner up and run the blue loop through the woods to the fork in the trail where a left will lead you towards the Rings of Fire.
Stop there and do 10 burpees. Then run towards the Rings of Fire.
At the bottom of the hill by the rock pile, stop for 20 monkey humpers, 20 ski abs (single count), and 20 plank jacks.
Continue on the trail to the DoJo where you’ll enter for 20 Irkens, 20 Derkens, and 20 dips. Run back the way you came to the top of the hill for your 10 burpees and repeat the cycle.
The goal is to get 4 laps in and then head back to the lot for mary, and head back at 6:05 regardless. First team in wins and gets to lead mary.
