In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire… the A-Team.

YHC arrived in plenty of time to avoid a repeat of “gate”-gate from the other week.  First one there, I found a locked gate.  Had a few minutes to sit and study the weinke a bit more (didn’t help) for what was sure to be a #crowdpleaser of a workout.  McCants came running by on his EC warmup.  I thought I was watching Daytona with all the near miss wrecks that didn’t happen with the PAX arriving.  Everyone drove slowly by the gate entrance to check if it was open.  I CHECKED Y’ALL!  The PAX emerged from the warm comfort of their Vanduras, donned their gold chains, styled their mohawks, lit their cigars, pulled on their gloves, and followed YHC for a jog into the park.  No FNGs today (Betamax was an FNG Friday, but not today!)

(note: of course Cheddar Bo arrived at 5:44…and Franklin and Burt took off into the park for a recon run before the gun sounded…probably that was a smart move and YHC should’ve followed due to an expiring clock at the end).

COT:

Announcements:

Come join Yogi and the team at Tortoise, Wednesday 0530.  Guaranteed to be light on the running, heavy on the beach body.

The Mule is this weekend.  Many participants.

The Gear has kicked off.  3 joined Ma Bell for a 2-wheeled tour of Western Wake County (and part of Chatham).  Next chance is 3/11.

Prayers/Praises:

Yogi’s friend Gideon doing well and came to Church!

Aristocrat on a big interview (5th one) today, prayers the cogs align and it all falls into place.

McCants took us out strongly as YHC was about to keel over.

NMS:

At the end, YHC was completely spent.  I wanted to just give it a Have a Nice Day and take a nap, but there was still work to do.  And I screwed it up still.  Trying to give Hermes a “NINE” whenever possible, all the RESPECT shuffling threw me off, so I missed a chance.  Tried to get it right with Namearama, but that was a gaffe.  He still played along and gave us a NINE somewhere in Name-Age-Countarama-F3 Name.  Makes my morning complete.

A few notes:

  • It is tricky to find exercises in the list to match up, in sequence, to how YHC wanted today to roll.
  • You won’t see the Alphabet again.
  • Y’all are getting faster and faster.  Those elevens wiped me out early.  Must’ve been 4-5 guys already done and squatting for my last full round.  Ouch.
  • Yep, I know you hate the hacky sack.  Get over it.
  • Burt is extremely motivating.  Words of encouragement in the midst of a failure Q were very helpful.
  • Asked the M to preview the script.  She did not approve of 3/4 of the exercises.  Especially the LBFC.  Said it might hurt the lower back.  #lookingoutforya
  • This week had the makings of a Carpex six pack for me, but the Mule’s going to nullify that.  Durn.
  • Makhtar N’Diaye’s on grass would’ve been a better option.  My bad.
  • There might be something to those up-straddle hops.  #natureboy
  • YHC still needs to hit Q school.  Had to miss the last one, will block the time on the calendar for the next one.
