Hills.
All who recently returned from the Battle of the BRR know the toll that hills take. So this morning, we respectfully paid the hills for their service. A 10-merican toll at the top of each crest.
The THANG:
The PAX crested 29 hills, requiring a toll of 290 mericans.
For a portion of these climbs, the PAX set up camp at 4 ascents:
- Bottom of Millbrook Rd hill up to Auburn Dr x1
- Bottom of Purdue St hill to hilltop x5
- Bottom of Stonehill Drive to hilltop x5
- Bottom of Lakemont Drive to hilltop x4
We then iced the cake at the AO with Burpees x10.
Done.
Corkboard:
- The Arena today, 2pm run from Pullen; 230 workout at the Healing Place
- 2-hour Ruck pre-Catalyst tomorrow for those so inclined; ruck optional for Catalyst
- Sept 25 long ruck with White Shoe at the helm. Do it.
3rdF COT:
Psalm 121 calls hills to mind:
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains (hills)—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
The psalm writer was seeing the man-made gods people looked to for help in his time. But in contrast, he was declaring he wouldn’t trust in man-made things, including the work of his own hands. He needed the help of the Maker. So, with whatever literal or figurative hills we’re faced with, we find true help from the one who made the hills.
Fazio led us in a prayer to put our hopes in our Maker.
Gracias gents. Time for a nap!
