In Greek mythology, Odysseus is faced with a terrible choice during his adventure…the Scylla was the rock shoal/six-headed sea monster on the left side of the strait, while the Charybdis was a hazardous whirlpool on the right. Caught between a rock and a hard place was he, and with that legend in mind, YHC took 11 PAX on an odyssey between the devil and the deep blue sea.

  • Closed out with thoughts about our most important template for prayer, The Lord’s Prayer. It doesn’t have us “give thanks” for life’s blessings. We ask for our daily bread, ask for forgiveness, etc, but we don’t explicitly give thanks. Maybe something different is expected of us? Maybe we should show thanks rather than just giving thanks. This season gives us many opportunities to show thanks to those in need and to those who are alone.
  • Ball o’man for the Lord’s Prayer
