YHC woke up this morning in a state of confusion. Every morning for past 11 months, YHC was on autopilot to Urban Jungle – but not today. Chong asked for a Q swap with BB and I couldn’t refuse. And, I’m glad I agreed because Ball Bearings is a great workout. Despite the ample park space at Ball Bearings, 18 Pax managed to find some beautiful concrete and stairs to keep us busy. No grass or dirt for us. As Au Pair noted, “what do you expect from an Urban Jungle guy”. In any event, here’s how it went:
Warmup:
Single count merkins x 51
Imperial Walkers x 20
Mountain Climbers x 25
Side straddle hop x 25
Run through apartments to back entrance to Raleigh Charter High School.
Partner up.
One partner goes to one end of parking lot. Starting at each end of parking lot, bear crawl until you meet in middle and do 10 merkins. Repeat with crab walk and 10 star jumps. Repeat with gorilla and 10 burpees.
Head to front of Raleigh Charter H.S. and the beautiful old staircase leading from Glenwood Avenue to the front of the building. Stairbarrows then run to railing for railing plank walk then back to stairbarrows (for each stairbarrow – 10 derkins at top of staircase). Repeato. Somewhere in here Mr Hand joined us – he apparently had to make an emergency stop after running with YoYo during EC.
Run to back of Raleigh Charter H.S. and do 20 partner high-five merkins.
Head to picnic benches.
Derkins (4 count) x 20
Irkins 4 count x 15
