You may have heard some rumblings about a challenge that we’ll be having here for F3 Raleigh over the summer.  If not, don’t worry, all of the information that you need is right here in this newsletter.  We are calling it the Mix for 26.  The goal will be to mix up where you post over the summer, getting out of your normal routine (a challenge in itself for a lot of us), meeting new PAX as well as seeing some folks that you haven’t in a while.

Joey Chestnut & Cotton have developed a google sheet that has laid out the guidelines above and created a placeholder for each AO.  (Google sheet here)

Here are the guidelines.

1) The goal is to mix up your posts and Q’s.

2) Guys will form teams of 6 people – we have laid it out by AO.

3) The competition will run from Memorial Day until Labor Day.

4) Each individual will get 2 points for Qing at a specific AO and 1 point for posting at a specific AO.  Max 3 points per individual at each AO.

5) For example, if Jimmer Q’s at Anchortime, that is worth 2 points.  If Jimmer posts at Anchortime the following week, that is worth 1 point.  If Jimmer posts again at Anchortime the following week, that is worth 0 points since he’s already maxed out his points for that site.

6) The 2/1 point scoring is valid for any AO in Raleigh, which is any AO listed on the the website.

7) You can accrue 50% of those point values for AO’s outside of Raleigh.

8) For example, if you Q a workout in Carpex, that is worth 1 point.  If you post at a workout in North Raleigh, that is worth 0.5 points.

9) This is a fundraiser for a local charity.  Bonus points will be awarded for $$ raised, up to a maximum of 5 points.

10) The team with the most points will pick the winning charity recipient

11) Each team will have a captain.  The captain is responsible for updating the Google doc with his team’s points.

Site Q’s would make sense to be the captain of that site and then recruit 5 other regulars.  Some of us are regulars at 4 or 5 sites, so pick the one that makes the most sense (and needs to round out their team).  If teams don’t end up with 6 guys, we’ll calculate and average score to keep it consistent across the board.
