The SouthWake PAX had to fire up the 4 wheel drive and put the chains on the tires to brave Storm Jonas. The YHC had anticipated a small turn out, however a group of 11 was ready to strap on their skates and get after it. ( 8 regulars including Stark with his impressive streak of 20 in a row since coming out as a FNG, 2 guests (Term Paper & Franklin) – Welcome, and one 2.0 (Cash Money)) Deadbolt made an announcement that he had two boxes of Krispy Kreme for us in the King Ranch.
Warmup
Three laps around the pavilion trying to keep sheltered from Jonas. First lap – jog, second lap – butt kickers, and final lap – frog jumps.

- Step Ups X 15 plus quick drop for 5 merkins
- Jumping Lunges plus quick drop for 5 merkins
- Fazio arm circles in squat position plus quick drop for 5 merkins
The Thang
The PAX made a quick trip away from the shelter to collect a rock from a nearby pile and returned to the shelter carrying the rock overhead.
We got things started with a gradual increase of balls2wall.
- 5 count regular merkins
- 5 count six inch on the wall merkins
- 5 count 45 degree on the wall merkins
- 5 count 90 degree on the wall merkins
- 15 snow angels
- 15 ski jumps
- RINSE and REPEAT
Next
Time for GAINS…. The PAX partnered up with a rock for Tabata.
- First set: 1 partner tricep extension with rocks and the other partner dips on the bench. Repeat 4 times.
- Second set: 1 partner bicep curls with rocks and the other partner freddie mercury. Repeat 4 times.
- Third set: 1 partner chest press with rocks and the other partner wide grip merkins. Repeat 4 times.
Rocks were returned and back to the shelter for Mary.
