It took 2 years for me to Q North Hills for the first time, and I promised I’d be back in less than another two.  Well, with Azul called on a last minute work trip and unable to perform his anniversary Q, I figured what the hell, let’s do it again.  With several offers to co-Q sent via Twitter, I chose my best option (Wendell Gee).  Ok, not true Zima….WG contacted me first, but he would work well with the plan to run.  Not sure the crowd would have appreciated running with those kegs anyway.

YHC contacted Deliverance to line up extra credit for the morning:  YHC: “We can do EC at 5:30 if you want to do NH” (rather than EB&D).  Deliverance: “That works.  I gotta fly out at 8:15”.  YHC: “You can leave early.  We will be running the whole time so we will head by your house to drop you”.  Deliverance: “Sweet. Let’s still do EC….(with a lot of other details about merkins and some stuff I didn’t follow).  YHC: “EC for sure”.  So it was on for 5:30!  Well, YHC gets up extra early only to receive this text in the car at 5:25:  “I’m out. Have to pick up boss on way to airport.  Have fun”.  So, with no one else there (and wondering why this text wasn’t sent the night before…you bitch), had planned to just listen to the radio for another 20 min when Wendell suddenly appears with the wonderful idea for us to run Sisyphus for EC….great idea!

Return from Sisyphus to find 22 others waiting on the Qs.  Little small talk, notification that we have 4 FNGs, disclaimer provided by Wendell and we were off:

Warm-up (WG):  SSH x 20; squat arm circles approx. 7-8 each way, Mtn Climbers, and 1 other.

Leave NHP on a jog around the neighborhood stopping every few blocks for merkins, quick feet, ab work, etc. alternating by Qs.  Plan worked well given the size of the group and several FNGs as we could pause and consolidate while giving the High Life’s of the world extra work with the merkins, planks, etc.  Up / down Currituck to Rowan.  On Rowan, split into two groups with 1s continuing on Rowan with Epoxy to bottom and back up (run to the post – also known to many as a mailbox).  2s hang a left with Wendell down the hill for some exercise of Wendell’s choice and then back up to corner of Rowan.  Several more sets of merkins and ab work then return to NHP again stopping periodically for quick feet, merkins, monkey humpers (back facing Burgundy’s house), etc.

Return to NHP and make two parallel lines in plank / chilcutt.  Man to far left starts jumping over all others in his group with next man starting once he gets jumped.  Once all have gone, reverse back the other way.

Mary: flutter x 15 and then various provided by pax upon request for exercise (can’t recall).

COT: Excited to have 4 FNGs.  One given the name Snowden originally only to be changed to Abacab….you’ll have to ask Tiger Beat.  Nice job for Kenobi getting out without support from Yoda.
