A Pax of 7 gathered in the Gloom today to celebrate b-day #38 with YHC and were treated to a real steam bath.  With nothing but veteran pax to be found, limited disclaimer given. However pax were briefed today’s workout was the 38 Special, but it had nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment, the 80’s rock band (although Trump later treated us to a brief rendition of ‘Hold on Loosely’), and the only thing remotely special about it is the pax would be well-versed in counting to 38 by its conclusion.

With that out of the way & ready to roll, we realized we had briefly lost Kanye, so we took a mosey around the field waiting for Kanye to rejoin.  Once assembled again, continue to mosey out to Bruckhaus St. and head towards front of community center, taking a left onto Vogel headed for the bus loop.  A quick lap around the bus loop & back down Vogel, up the ramp by the entrance to community center.  Continuing around to the back of the school. At this point, the mumble chatter was beginning to question if there was an actual workout planned or if we were just going to run for an hour.  Pax were notified the workout was a little light on the running so the warm-up run was most of the running we were going to do.  The mosey continued behind the school, following the back wall all the way around to the basketball court for warm-ups.

Mosey over to the bus loop & partner up for a Bear Crawl Relay.  Partner 1 bear crawls while Partner 2 runs a lap.  Once Partner 2 gets back to bear crawling partner, flapjack & repeato until each partner has bear crawled twice.

Mosey over to the rock pile.  Pax instructed to grab non-traveling rocks, but they might want to keep the ego in check when selecting said rock (Birkenstock slightly headed this warning leaving his normal bolder be, but still selecting a nasty rock).  Once rock selected, circle up for the following:

With our arms smoked, return the rocks & mosey over to the fields with a quick pit-stop by the cars to grab a football for a game of Kickback (a few of the pax know the game from a few previous YHC Qs).  For Kickback, split into 2 teams & take turns punting a football back & forth until one team pushes the other team out the back of their end zone (i.e. trying to gain better field position with each punt).  Kicking team had to do 5 Merkins after each kick.  Losing team assessed a penalty of 10 Burpees.  YHC’s team got their 6 handed to them twice.  After 2 rounds of Kickback, mosey to the tables under the shelter for a quick Mary.
