Lake? Or official SUVĀ of North Raleigh? YHC knows not the origins of this AO’s name. Perhaps it is a mystery. In any event, this was YHC’s first Q at the workout feared by many. Thanks to numerous EH efforts from Pepe (to post and Q), YHC has reluctantly begun to enjoy this site. It’s gruesome, often simple and always humbling. Plans were drawn for a concrete burner, and 12 men emerged to accept the challenge.
Take off for the CapTrust tower with some frogger. Mosey up into the deck and circle up at the base of good old “P2” for a warmup.

The Thang:
Parking deck suicides. Sounds about as fun as it is. PAX will run up each deck ramp. Upon reaching the top of a ramp, complete 10 merkins. Back down to home base. From home base, run up the first ramp, up the second ramp, 10 merkins, allllll the way back down. Repeato til you reach the summit. If memory serves correctly, there are 7 or 8 ramps. When finished AMRAP burpees til everyone finishes (complete at least 25). To catch our breath, 20 WWIIs.
Back down to our starting point. Repeat the same set except this time, complete 10 derkins whenever you arrive back down at home base. YHC pondered to himself numerous times, how many freaking levels are there in this deck? Timing worked out perfectly, and all had completed with 5 minutes to spare for our jaunt back to Panera.
Done.
Welp that was miserable. Solid work by perennial front-runners Pepe and Chippendale. According to Joule’s fancy watch we logged right around 5 miles, with some serious elevation as you’d imagine. Great fun was had by all.

Pepe prayed for us. Always a pleasure, and an honor to lead at this AO. Now excuse me while I go lay down for a few hours.
