14 Pax emerged for one beautiful morning; brisk and crisp weather, not a cloud in the sky, the stars smiling down on us. Lots of early arrivals and one FNG. Disclaimer shared and we were off, heading to the USA BB parking lot with couple stops on the way for some SSH, burpees, mountain climbers, and good mornings.

Pax lined up for quick explanation at the end of the long parking lot for the first thang; sprint length of of full parking lot stopping at each of the 4 islands for 5 burpees. At the end, hold superman position ALAP with dying cockroaches as rest and return to superman till all pax done. 5 count down the line.

  • Repeat with 10 merkins at each of the islands with same superman ALAP / dying cockroach thang.
  • Repeat with 10 starjumps at each island and more supermans.

Mosey to grassy area next to entrance. Bear crawls to fence, sprint back with low squat hold. Forward crab walk half distance to fence and sprint to fence and back with low squat hold. Repeat above with planks.

Return to end of parking lot for more of the same:

  • Sprint lot with stops for 5 burpees. At the end, quick alternation between plank and low plank holds with 5 counts down the line.
  • Same as above with 10 merkins.
  • Same as above with 10 tuck jumps and more planks and low plank holds.

Fellowship jog back to start stopping for sixes with low squat hold.

At the baseball for some Mary.

COT:

  • Welcome FNG Moline, short for Minneapolis Moline which sold its last tractor in 1974. As a John Deere employee, hopefully Moline will last a little longer with F3 than his namesake did in the ag biz.
  • RIO shared with the pax his BRR experience this last weekend and challenged the pax to put together a team for next year. YHC challenged RIO to Q
  • Today is YHC’s 14 year wedding anniversary, a day that started very similar to today with a round at the gym starting before sun up with some buddies, a briskness in the air, and stars smiling down promising an outstanding day.
  • On a sad note, YHC’s 55 year old cousin is losing his battle with cancer. He is clearly too young to be fighting this battle.
  • YHC took us out in prayer.

Looking back, YHC has learned that taking the DRP is not a DIY project. The greatest success comes when we let go of just our ego and share; share our leadership, our guidance, our service, and our pain with the pax. And when each of us gives our best  honest effort, we grow both individually and as a pax. Let’s prepare ourselves for a new best day.
